DAY 1  | WELCOME TO ICELAND

Meet your guide at the Arrival Hall of the Keflavik Airport. 

Your adventure begins with a guided tour of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Afterward, catch a 45 minute flight from Reykjavik’s Domestic Airport to the Capital of the North, Akureyri. 

Once you arrive in Akureyri, take a taxi to your hotel, where you can rest before an exciting evening. Be sure to wake up in time to enjoy dinner and embark on a Northern Lights tour in search of the stunning aurora borealis.

DAY 2  |  AKUREYRI - MYVATN​    

Heading out this morning to explore the famous Lake Myvatns amazing geology. Lava flowed over the original lake thousands of years ago creating massive steam explosions, which left behind perfectly cone shaped craters, caved in lava tubes and otherworldly rock formations.

Experience Myvatns boiling mud pits, hot water springs, and hot water caves on your visit. Continue the route by the majestic waterfall Godafoss on your way back to your hotel in Akureyri.

DAY 3  |  AKUREYRI - SOUTH COAST & BLACK BEACHES

Fly back from Akureyri to Reykjavik where you will meet your Private Guide to explore the stunning South Coast. Visit the famous black sand beaches today. Check out the majestic Skogafoss waterfall, perfect for a breathtaking view and photo opportunity. Additionally, take a short hike to the picturesque Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon and experience its stunning landscapes. It’s a fantastic itinerary for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

DAY 4  |  GLACIERS AND Jökulsárlón

Get ready to immerse yourself in the stunning glacial landscapes of Vatnajökull National Park. After breakfast prepare yourself for an exhilarating ice cave tour. Donning proper safety gear and equipment, you’ll step into the ice cave itself, experiencing its icy expanse firsthand. After, take a leisurely walk to the nearby Diamond Beach. As the name suggests, this mesmerizing stretch of black sand is adorned with chunks of glacial ice that have washed ashore, sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight.

DAY 5 | THE MAJESTIC SOUTH - REYKJAVIK

Prepare for an exhilarating journey filled with thrilling experiences! After a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you’ll embark on a 1-hour 4x4 buggy tour around the breathtaking inland, Valley of Þórsmörk. This enchanting area, nestled between three majestic glaciers, is renowned for its stunning scenery of lush valleys, rugged peaks, and vibrant vegetation. As you speed through the rugged terrain, soak in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, an awesome way to experience the beauty of Iceland’s  pristine wilderness.

DAY 6 | FAREWELL TO ICELAND

On your final day in Iceland, it’s time to savor the last moments in this stunning country. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Reykjavik one last time. Consider visiting some of the quaint shops and local boutiques for unique
souvenirs, or take in the colorful architecture that characterizes the city. You might also wish to stop by a cafe for a delightful Icelandic pastry and a warm drink before your departure. 

Meet your driver back at your hotel early afternoon for your transfer back to the airport for your return to the states.
