8:30 pick-up at your hotel. With your guide at the wheel, you will traverse the south coast on your way towards the highland access road Kjölur.
 

The views change from the lush lowland agriculture area on the south coast to glacier carved mountains, volcanos and lava fields galore. This is fun and tricky driving. You'll have to reduce the air pressure in the tires to increase grip and make the ride more comfortable, as the “roads” are mostly tracks cleared once a year or so by a grader.
 

The route takes you north of some of Iceland’s largest glaciers and offers views not available to most visitors. This is ultimately an experience hard to enjoy without a capable modified guide driven super-trucks. Deserted tracks in combination with a stunning ruggedness of the surroundings, will result in an unforgettable experience.
 

Arrive at Landmannalaugar, a highland paradise where the extraordinary colors of the area will be sure to delight. On the journey, we drive on mountain- and gravel roads through beautiful landscapes and colorful mountains and cross some rivers.
 

Landmannalaugar offers the most beautiful mountain ranges and a natural warm river where we recommend a relaxing bath in the natural warm river. if conditions allow, head towards Hekla volcano. Hekla is over 4,700 ft high and Iceland’s most active volcanoes. During the Middle Ages, it was famously thought by Northern Europeans to be the Gateway to Hell.

Depending on conditions your guide will decide what tracks are the most fun to drive in finalizing the task for the day, a view of the volcanos and a visit to Landmannalaugar.
